WELCOME TO HIPLIFE FRESH AIR

Ghana is big when it comes to Youth Pop Music and the country's version goes with many variations made from the original concept of HIPLIFE started by Grand Papa REGGIE ROCKSTONE.

Whatever name that people have coined from AZONTO, TWI-POP, AKAN-POP, EWE POP, TAMALE POP, FANTI POP, ASSIN POP, GA POP, SEFWI POP, NZEMA POP, KUMASI HIP HOP, AHAFO POP, BONO POP, TWIFU POP, AFROPOP, AFROFUSION, AFROBEATS, VOLTA POP,GHPOP,GHANAPOP and all the in-betweens, the name HIPLIFE  still stands out as the most universal acceptable name and identity for Ghana's Youth popular music.

This blog is not a Music Blog per se but an archive for almost every Music Blog initiated by Ghanaians. As a division of the International Center for African Culture and Arts ( ICACA), we have come to note that most of the published works on their sites have a life span of at least 3 years of which after that, no one can find it again.   HIPLIFE FRESH AIR is an intervention blog to help document and archive the good works of hard working Ghanaian musicians and the diligent Music Blog Directors who work so hard to make these music available to you.

We will try as much as possible to acknowledge the source of all the selected tunes we post here. If you are interested in downloading them, visit the referenced sites and support them.
